STUDENT LOUNGE PROPOSAL

STUDENT LOUNGE PROPOSAL

One problem with our school is that students have no place to study on their own, or to meet before or after classes to relax. Because of this, many students leave the building during breaks. This wastes time and increases absenteeism, it also makes it harder for students to get know each other.

We could solve this problem by creating a student lounge inside the school. We would like to use the extra room on the third floor for this purpose. A student lounge would benefit the school in three ways. First of all, we believe that student lounge will solve major school problem, the absenteeism. Students no longer need to leave the building during breaks as they will have place to meet each other and relax. We can make the lounge menu would be affordable for students so that students won’t leave the building to stay in the lounge.

Secondly, it will help to increase students’ participation for school events as students will get close with each other. In result of this our school will be one big team. Also it will help the school maintain the healthy school culture among students as we planning to have an information corner in the lounge. No students will miss school news.

Finally, the lounge will be open for teachers also. So that the students and the teachers can have a chance to know each other outside classes.

We have a plan to make this possible. Volunteers will clean and paint the room. We believe that we can raise money to set the lounge by opening the fundraising account and organize fundraising party among students. After the setting lounge, there will be lounge membership so that students can have unlimited access to the lounge and its amenities such as free Wi-Fi, books, games and etc... All this conditions apply for teachers as well.
